Robert Mueller’s investigation of alleged collusion between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign is a “Russian collusion delusion” that lacks evidence, according to Jeanine Pirro, a former prosecutor, judge, and District Attorney.
Pirro joined Bold TV to discuss her new book, “Liars, Leakers, and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy.” She said:
“So they went from the Russian collusion delusion — and I’m still waiting for the evidence — and as a prosecutor, you know, if you’re going to make an allegation, put your evidence where your allegation is. Put your facts where your mouth is, and that’s not happening.”
Today, President Donald Trump called the Russia collusion probe a “disaster for our country,” during a press conference following a one-on-one summit between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland.
Pirro went on to share her thoughts on the Russia investigation during her interview with Bold TV:
“Well I think that as someone who has been a prosecutor, a judge, and a DA for over three decades, I am in a particularly poignant position to be able to identify what I see as a con. What we’re doing now is we are seeing the veil taken off of what the FBI did, what the Department of Justice did. And what they leaked. You know the head of the FBI, James Comey, who I worked with, he was the United States attorney when I was elected DA. Our offices in Westchester were right next to each other.
“And this guy tells the President, ‘I’m not a leaker, I’m not a weasel,’ but as soon as he leaves, he leaks something to his friend – who he forgets to mention- that he is non-government employee and in order to do that, they had to basically hire him (not for money though). And then he proceeds to leak something to get to the NY Times and the public square. Well, if you needed something in the public square to be investigated, you are the head of the largest law enforcement agency in the nation and you could have investigated him. But why is he only worth investigating after he fires you, Jim?”
