WATCH: How Has the Shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise Impacted Bipartisanship?

How will Amazon’s acquisition of Whole Foods change the ways both companies operate? Will the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise promote bipartisanship in the long-term?

Our headlines segment began with the breaking news that Amazon has purchased Whole Foods in a $13.7 billion deal; Carrie and Clay debated what that news might mean for our shopping experiences. Next, they broke down the surge in bipartisanship we’ve seen in the wake of this week’s Congressional baseball shooting. Clay expressed the hope that Rep. Steve Scalise can return to Congress and serve “as a catalyst for getting people to work together.”

“There [could] at least be something good borne out of something so awful,” he added.
