Welcome back to Show and Tell, where Peter Salib unboxes sweet tech for every area of your life. In this episode, Salib unpacks the Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro from IOGEAR. Working from home has become more the norm. But that causes stress on home life, creating clutter, taking up plugs and causing wear-and-tear on home electronics. If your home has become your office, you need a central dock with plenty of power. This device expands your computer’s capability, manages your cables and increases your productivity. Let’s see if this piece of IOGEAR tech has enough plug-ins to elevate your WFH experience.
The Dock Pro has plenty of ports
This device is the central docking station for your workspace. Let’s go over all of the different ports. On the front, there are three plugs. First is the USB-C port. This cable is the main line that goes from the Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro to your computer. Next is the fast-charging USB port. This gives you a lightning-fast charge for your phone. Then, there is a headphone jack if you haven’t upgraded to Bluetooth headphones. On the other side of the dock is an ethernet run-through. You can connect your computer directly to your internet. And if those plugins weren’t enough, there are three more USB ports and two more USB-C chargers.
Can connect to two 4K screens
So, the Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro is the ultimate hub for all your bells and whistles. Once you use all of the ports, you may need an additional screen. The device has two display ports that can run to two 4K screens. This is an ultra-high-definition resolution. No matter what your 9-5 requires, this hub can handle it.
