WATCH: Why Do Presidents Get Negative Coverage From the Media?

Do you notice a negative trend when it comes to media news coverage? Bold TV welcomed Nicco Mele, Director of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University, to discuss media bias.

Nicco said in President Donald Trump’s first 100 days, a study from Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center, they found that coverage for Trump was overwhelmingly negative — does this mean the mainstream media is anti-Trump?

Nicco said, this has historical precedence, and Bill Clinton was another example of a president who received negative coverage. Why is this the case? According to Nicco, most presidents get unfavorable coverage from the media, because the media has a major bias towards negative content.
